Come fish for Muskie, Walleye, Bass and Northern Pike
on North Star Lake
Quiet North Star Lake is an exceptional lake because of it's scenic beauty and wide variety of fish. It is a very clean, clear lake that is up to 90 feet deep and provides over 1000 acres of great fishing, nature and boating. The lake is almost 4 miles long, 1/2 mile wide and consists of many bays, points, islands and great underwater structure. The lake always offers a quiet place to fish by yourself. While boating you will most likely see many beautiful loons, soaring eagles, as their nest is at waters edge, an occasional deer and many other wildlife animals.
The Fishing
North Star Lake was recently featured as one of North America's top walleye lakes in WALLEYE IN-SIDER® Magazine! Click here to read the article.
North Star Lake offers a wide variety of fish from the trophy size muskie and northerns to the elusive walleye. From plentiful crappies and bluegills to the ever aggressive small and large mouth bass. This lake has something for everyone.
-
Muskies - North Star Lake is a little known trophy muskie fishing lake, The DNR's consistent stocking of muskies has allowed this fish to flourish. This lake produces trophy size muskies that will make your heart race (and your arms sore) if you hook into one of them.
-
Northerns - North Star Lake is off limits to spearing because of the Muskies, which keeps the winter pressure off and helps North Star maintain its reputation as an excellent Northern Lake.
-
Walleyes - If your looking for the ever elusive walleye, look no further. North Star's excellent structure combined with DNR stocking has produced walleyes in the above average size range. Combine this with the low winter pressure and you are liable to land yourself a trophy fish.
-
Bass - North Star has both Large and Small Mouth Bass. If you are a early morning riser or late night fisher, you have a good chance at landing one of these aggressive fighters.
Panfish - This lake offers plenty of crappies and bluegills. The kids love to catch these right from the dock. Don't be surprised if you catch a basket full by the time you are through.
